I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, though you will likely recognize my religion more readily when I tell you that I am a Mormon.
At the core of all that I believe is the knowledge that God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ both live and love each of us deeply. They know who we are, They know what we experience, and They are closer than we can imagine.
I believe that there is a heavenly power on this earth that unites us to our families and to God. When a couple is married in a temple, it is done by this power, and the marriage is no longer "until death do you part," but is an eternal binding that lasts forever. My husband and I were married in a temple, and we have felt its influence every day.
I believe that there is inspiration all around us, and that is what carries us over the bumps and mountains that we encounter along the way.
Above all, I believe that life is meant to be filled with laughter and love--and that God has made it possible.
